A Commitment to Community
The Georgia community is everything to us. Our friends, family, and our video partners in Athens and Atlanta remain the lifeblood of our business.
This year we launched an initiative to serve 100 local businesses. To accomplish this goal, Lisa Schueneman joined the team to help further engrain our company into the local community through social, charitable, and business partnerships. Below is a quick interview with Lisa where she shares her story and her spark.
An Interview with Lisa Schueneman, slinging video from Athens since 2018:
What brought you to DT?
When I moved here from Woodstock, I had been a professional photographer and business owner for 7 years. I will always have a passion for photography, but knew it was time for me to seek even more creative inspiration. When I came across DT and saw their amazing work, their core values -- and Chispa -- I had no doubt that I wanted to be a part of this team!
I’m officially more than eight months in, and DT already feels like family. I have genuine friends here and the talented UGA students that often join us add to the creative energy.
What do you do?
My role here has continued to evolve. Through social media (come say hi to me on Instagram!), hosting local events, and our latest Athens-focused video series, I have come to experience firsthand what makes both DT and the town of Athens so special.
Recently we launched the Create With Chispa video series on Instagram, which showcases the unique people and businesses of Athens that are truly following their spark.
The success of this program has inspired us to spread the Create With Chispa idea even further. Our talented, next-generation team of filmmakers has been challenged to create authentic, business-driving content for 100 local businesses. With projects already booked in Atlanta and Athens, we are well on our way! I couldn’t be more proud of the work and dedication our team continues to bring to this program.
What is your spark?
I’m driven by new experiences. I believe personal growth comes from facing your fears and trying new things. I strive to never stop learning. Of course my Chispa is also my family because my best experiences are those shared with them.
What do you do when not working?
When I’m not coordinating new projects with DT or taking photos, I can be found having fun with my husband and our four kids and three dogs who keep us quite busy and constantly entertained. We love the beach, getting outside, and being active as often as possible.
